The rapid development of battery technology is crucial to the success of the energy transition, but this growth also brings new challenges. The technologies used have electrical and fire safety risks, and regulations for safe use are still evolving.
To address these issues, Connectr, Sustainable Electrical Energy Centre of Expertise (SEECE), University of Twente, Mlab Testing, Stichting Gelijkspanning Nederland and the Netherlands Institute for Public Safety (NIPV) are jointly organising a masterclass. The aim of this masterclass is to move from opinions and stories about safety around battery technology to factual and objective information.
